Highway 11/12 Coldwater Road and Old Barrie Road interchanges will be divided into two separate construction packages following different schedules. Work at Coldwater Road will commence first, followed by Old Barrie Road. Each construction package is expected to take 3 years, as shown in the Thank You & Next Steps page. Both projects will involve some short-term and long-term duration ramp closures and short-duration Highway closures to accommodate construction. The Emergency Detour Route (EDR) will be utilized for detouring traffic during closures. The adjacent municipal road network (EDR) will utilize Line 15, University Avenue and Westmount Drive to access adjacent interchanges.
