The existing Old Barrie Road bridge includes a 1.5 m sidewalk along the north side of the bridge but does not include cycling facilities. The south side of the bridge has recently been updated under a recent City of Orillia contract to include a Shared Use-Active Transportation Pathway.
Proposed Active Transportation Facilities
In collaboration with the City of Orillia, the MTO will be constructing pedestrian and cycling facilities along Highway 12/Old Barrie Road within the project limits
